The MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4G OC graphics card ( $139.99) showed that it could easily beat the XFX Radeon RX 460 4GB that also just happens to be priced at $139.99 shipped and it was usually performing close to the EVGA GeForce GTX 960 Super SuperClocked 4GB that was priced at $239 just one year ago. There will always be people bragging about better overclocks. EVGA PrecisionX will only let it go up to +87, and I couldn't get it to 1500MHz with that, so I just reverted to what I knew was stable and didn't fool with it. $20 more when you're already spending $600 isn't a big deal, and it has a bigger cooler with a sexier backplate. Not really sure GPU-Z is accurate or not, but I guess it's better than nothing.
According to GPU-Z, my ASIC quality is 78%. Thing is, the power never goes beyond 106% according to the graphs and the temperatures have never gone past 78 C. I have the power limit to the max with the temp limit to the max also at 140 and 90 C. Yes, I've tried with stock memory clocks to no avail.
I have yet to see or hear of a properly overclocked custom 980ti (outside of thermal limitations) be incapable of reaching at least 1484. 1500-1550 is pretty much the limit unless you go exotic cooling or use extremely custom bios setups.ĭid you try backing down your memory clock before pushing up the core? (power limits up? temps good?) I've got a 980ti kingpin and it won't go beyond 1550mhz regardless of 1.2v or 1.4v. Big maxwell eats voltage and gives no craps. I've read a bunch of reviewers who had pushed their Classified cards past 1500 MHz. It really didn't matter how much voltage I put into it. Anything past +40 MHz would crash on Heaven. I was able to push the memory clock up to 4006 MHz without really even trying, so I'm pretty sure I can way above that. At stock speeds, it blasts through every game I have at max settings on every game. Just curious for those who also have this card, what are your overclock settings?
